Congratulations!

So the big question has officially been popped and you’ve said “YES!” – now the fun/work begins!

I got married myself not so long ago and understand the nuances of finding the right South Wales wedding photographer for your big day. It’s very much an art, rather than a science. For this reason I am always happy to jump on a quick phone/video call, just so you can ask any questions and get a sense of who I am if you like my vibe.

I think most people would describe me as being really easygoing and friendly. I love what I do and am passionate about creating beautiful images. That said, the most important thing to me is that you and your guests feel 100% comfortable, relaxed and happy on your wedding day – this is your BIG DAY we’re talking about after all.

I’ll work around you and your plans and will never try to take over your day or shout at your guests.

A little about me…

First and foremost, I’m an extremely proud father to my 2.5- year-old son, Jack, and loving husband to the beautiful Sarah. They are my entire world and everything I do is for them.

I love surfing and cycling and going to the gym. I recently turned 40 and did the cliché thing of getting into kettlebells. This is an extremely physical job so it’s important to me to feel strong and agile.

I adore music and playing the guitar. The Beatles are my obsession. If you’re wondering, George is my favourite.

In fact I’m highly sensitive to all forms of art, and I feel this filters through to my wedding photography, giving it greater depth.

I have a first class degree in photography from Falmouth University.

Before shooting weddings I was a professional travel writer and photographer. My work was published in newspapers and magazines and travel sites/blogs around the world. I even had two travel books published.

In total I lived in Barcelona and London for 11 years before returning home to Wales to settle with my beautiful family.

I don’t do so much writing these days but I do take my camera with me wherever I go and am still a big reader.

A hot bath with a good book and a glass of wine is my idea of a good time, though these days my baths are more likely to be filled with toy pirate ships and baby sharks.

My style and approach

I’m a natural observer and pride myself on photographing with a discreet documentary approach to capture real candid moments as they unfold throughout the day.

And when it comes to group shots and couple portraits, I like to keep things very relaxed and informal.

Just beautiful, happy, smiley and authentic wedding photography.

My aim is for you to feel you can fully immerse yourself in your day, forget that I’m even there for the most part, and let me capture the people, details and unique moments that make your day yours.

What about group shots and wedding portraits?

We can also make time for group shots of you and your family, friends, bridesmaids and groomsmen. I also love a golden hour portrait session, so we can sneak off to make this a fun part of your day. Again, I’ll work with you and your preferences on this.
